Latin's Hand Events Participation
New Orleans Jazz Festival
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, often known as Jazz Fest, was founded in 1970. It is held annually at the Fair Grounds Race Course on the last weekend of April and the first weekend of May.
It is an annual celebration of the music, food, and culture that makes New Orleans’ diversity so remarkable. You can enjoy in one place the rhythms of Cajun, Zydeco, Afro Caribbean, Latin, R&B, Blues, Gospel Rock, Rap, Country, Blue Grass, and everything in between. And of course, tons of Jazz!
We have proudly participated as a vendor for over 36 years at Jazz Fest (Congo Square) showcasing our beautiful Hats and Hammocks from Latin America. In 2015, we were awarded/recognized as the best vendor!French Quarter Festival
The French Quarter Festival is held each year on the second weekend of April. Known as “the world’s largest showcase of Louisiana music, food, and culture," it takes place in the historic French Quarter District of New Orleans and is free and open to the public. Walking through the festival, you will be surrounded by music, Jackson Square vendors, galleries, and stores, including Latin’s Hand located at the French Market (1025 North Peters St.). There, you will find a great variety of hat styles to keep you cool while enjoying this wonderful and unique festival!
Creole Tomato French Market Festival
The French Market Tomato Festival is held the second weekend of June at the nation’s oldest city marketplace, the French Market in New Orleans. It honors Louisiana produce, farmers, and our unique cuisine, including the famous Creole tomato. The festival features live music, cooking demonstrations, and the Creole Tomato Parade.
The first Tomato Fest was held in June of 1986. We were a part of and contributed to the meeting that worked behind the scenes, carrying out the conceptualization of the festival. Today, after 34 years since its first launch, we continue participating in the activities offered at the festival, as well as having the opportunity to sell our products, which include colorful hammocks, hats, canvas backpacks, cotton apparel, and pins.Mardi Gras
The most popular time to visit New Orleans is during Carnival season. The magic and spectacle of Mardi Gras always culminates on Fat Tuesday, which is on a different date each year.
Mardi Gras is about music, parades, picnics, floats, and excitement. Parade-goers will sit on the ground, throw balls, play music, eat great food, and watch the crowds walk by between parades.
It's the time for parties and festivities! Latin’s Hand is always present, offering festive hats, pins, and beads. If you want to blend in with the excitement of the party, please visit our store or our website to find unique and festive accessories for this special time of year!
